Shell started out in community radio, learning how to drive a desk; operate playout systems; utilise sound-editing software; and develop and hone her personable skills to interview bands and artists.

After ten years of hard toil, she now undertakes her own interviews, features, research and planning, and administers and edits her own content. Since starting out way back in 2008, Shell’s presented on a number of stations, including Amazing Radio, Beatwolf Radio, Bolton FM, WXLV Philadelphia, DIY Radio, Seeks Music and Salford City Radio. She’s also had her voice heard on BBC Radio Manchester, BBC Radio Lancashire, BBC Radio Leicester, Xfm and BBC 6 Music.
